David, for all his gruffness, was truly very sweet. From the moment I showed up in his son's life he made me feel welcome and loved. He treated me like his own daughter and with the passing of my father that was a true blessing. I am forever grateful to have had his love in my life. I miss you Dad.

David was one of the best friends I've ever had in my life. He was there for me when I was alone and facing some hard times. He gave me the courage to go on. Hopefully he knew that when I was able to spend his last two says with him. I will miss him forever.
