David Ekkelboom

Citrus Heights, California- David Bernard Ekkelboom Sr passed away at home in Citrus Heights, CA on March 16, 2022.

David was born on June 27, 1939, in Modesto, CA to Joseph and Martha Ekkelboom. He worked as a hydraulic pneumatic mechanic at McClellan AirForce base for nearly 32 years before retiring. David was an wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend to all. David was known for his love of the great outdoors, hunting fishing, taking his jeep out fourwheeling with his wife and children, spending time with his friends and family. Coaching and playing softball at Rusch Park. David enjoyed listening to BlueGrass Country music and watching old western movies.

He is survived by his wife Margie Ekkelboom, and his two children Richard and Shelly & preceded in death by his eldest son David B Ekkelboom Jr. As well as five grandchildren Ambur, Richie, DJ, Ariana, and Roman, and two great grandchildren Bentley and Kylo.

At David's request he has been cremated and will be laid to rest with his parents, his brother Jimmy and his son David.
