David's obituary
David John Eckstrom passed away on June 6th 2022.
Dad was a person who loved life, making friends, and music, especially Elvis. He was always taking an interest in the events of his family and would speak with pride when the topic came up about his sons or his grandkids.
He was always available to make new friends, whether at the store, on social media, or just in his day to day activities. He had a way of welcoming anyone who met him, whether through humor or singing. He would often be found calling his family and friends and singing to them to cheer them up, or to let them know he cared.
Dave loved sports, but more than that loved talking about sports to friends and family. Was a 49ers fan, as well as a Dodgers fan. Though one could argue that he loved to hate the Yankees more than he even loved the Dodgers.
He was passionate about many topics, and it would not take too long to find that out in conversation with him, but no matter what you always would see his love of family friends and life shine through.
Dave was predeceased by both of his parents, and his longtime girlfriend Roslyn Loomis. He is survived by his son's David Eckstrom Jr and Christopher Eckstrom, as well as his sisters Valerie and Lillian. He is also survived by grand kids and great grand kids.
A memorial and celebration of Dave's life will be held at Elmgrove United Methodist Church, at 1500 Spencerport Road Rochester, NY. This will be held at 7pm Wednesday June 15th. It will also be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/ElmgroveUMCPastorPage.
