David's obituary

David Andrew Eash died unexpectedly in Aledo, Texas, on Feb. 13, 2024.  Not quite in a stealth attack while protecting a bus full of nuns and baby pandas, but a complete surprise nonetheless.

He was born in Ridgecrest, California, on August 22, 1978, to Melinda and Randal Eash.  But he was immediately kidnapped by his rather demanding older sister Crystal, who at 3 1/2 years old, felt she was a much better parent.  His other slightly older sister Candy tolerated him for the first few years of his life - before deciding he was ok.   They were three peas in a pod and life-long friends.

Young David adored animals and had every variation a boy could ask for: hamsters, guinea pigs, doves, parrots, chickens, goats, geese, ferrets, lizards, toads, horses, dogs and cats.  A  Dr. Doolittle he was not, but he did care for them in all kinds of weather and at all hours of the day and night.  And they loved him.

A part in a 3rd grade school Christmas play as one of Santa's helpers changed his course in life.  He achieved a Bachelor's in Film.  The prospect of being a starving artist didn't scare him and he threw himself head first into the terrifying realm of daily auditions.  Even with all of his "survival" jobs - movie theater manager, mortgage agent, Walt Disney World cast member - he still managed to find his way into a few movies.  He was a creator of stories and spent most of his creative time writing screenplays.

David was kind and patient.  He will be remembered for his quirky silliness and humor, his  willingness to help anyone, and his righteous indignation toward inequality, poverty and injustice.

He is preceded in death by his younger brother George, his Aunts Pam and Robin, all of his grandparents; and as a Historian, he would have wanted you to know he was also proceeded in death by almost every person who ever lived on this planet, including Napoleon,  Cleopatra, the legendary actor, Jimmy Stewart and the entirety of the Island of Atlantis.

David is survived by his mother Melinda Eash, his father and stepmother Randal and Marion Eash, his sisters Crystal, Candy, Crimson and Lacy; his niece Darrian, cousin-siblings Shawn and Erin Kirkpatrick, and his brothers-from-other-mothers (and the truest of life-long friend adventurers) Brian Lee, Josh Aden, Jason Pollard, and Matthew McLain.

En lieu of thoughts and prayers, David would have wanted you to simply not  vote for Trump and send him to prison.

His dream was to travel the world, especially to Italy.  From David to all of us ~ Ciao! <3
