David E. Burgess, born February 7, 1984, left this world far too soon on August 6, 2024. His sudden departure has left an indescribable void in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. To say David was loved doesn’t even begin to capture the depth of emotion he stirred in the lives he touched. He was more than a son, a father, a friend—he was a beacon of light in a sometimes dark world, someone who gave without hesitation and loved without limit.

He is survived by his mother, Gina Burgess, whose heart now carries the unimaginable weight of losing her only son. His beloved grandfather, David C. Burgess, watched him grow into a man whose compassion and warmth knew no boundaries. Most tragically, David leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Olivia & Lilith Burgess, and his handsome son Leland Burgess—who will forever carry his memory, his laugh, his warmth, and the deep love he showered upon them. His children were his greatest pride, and every moment he spent with them was filled with joy, love, and a tenderness that words fail to capture.

David’s life was a testament to the beauty of the simple things—he found peace in the quiet of the outdoors, where he could lose himself in the whisper of the wind and the rustle of the leaves.
