I’m still in shock. We loved Dave from the day we met him. Thought he was perfect for you and obviously he was. I will never forget how sweet he was to babysit for our kids so you and I could go out when I visited. He never seemed to mind and my kids loved him.

Love you Dee Dee and thinking of you and your family everyday.

Many warm and wonderful memories of Dave over the years of family vacations, celebrations, milestones and just fun in the sun!  Cool, calm, collected, caring and compassionate.  One of the easiest, nicest, friendliest persons to befriend and a true privilege and pleasure to know.  In respect for a life well-lived and loved, his humanity and generosity, may Dave rest in peace for eternity and live in our hearts forever.
When I meet Dave I knew he was going to make Dee Dee's life richer not material things but by being a wonderful supportive  loving partner. He was an amazing husband and father to all four of his children. And who didn't love his warm smile. You will be missed Dave. Hugs and Prayers to Dee Dee , children and grandchildren. Love you all, Lucinda
Clarkie, Clarkie! I would call him every Thanksgiving/Christmas to catch up but sadly not this year. He was a high school friend and one of the "Boys". We got the band together with him; Dickie Benz; Eddie and Ronnie Novak; Danny Bo Bielicki; Tony Karat Karat; Mike White; Kinky Cattadoris; Donnie Rabbit Jacksina; Tom A/K/A Herbie  and Mark Kleege; Skip and Ronnie Sierak; Ted Sondej and EJ O'Toole to name a "few".  Great times had by all in the Adirondacks on Alger Island (as the obit photo will attest to) and surrounding areas with adventures at Hickley's Beer Can Beach. Dave would always have his battery powered red record player along and we wore out the Beatles "White" album in the process. Dave was my college roomie at Albany State as well. Go Great Danes! These were the days my friend we thought they'd never end. He always tried to attend the boys outing in Syracuse for the annual football game and tailgate with his daughter Lee. Great times indeed and in his last visit we all got to sit and watch the game from a luxury box suite and SU even won the game! You will be missed my friend. Lastly; his dad Elmer (great guy and the apple didn't fall far from the tree) and my dad Joe both worked together at Utica Drop Forge. Fini.
We loved Dave and he will certainly be  missed. Our thoughts and prayers are for Dee Dee, family & friends. Rest easy, my friend.
“Daddy Dave” was a loving and kind presence (and named to differentiate him from David and his teenage basketball playing boisterous friends 😉) to the three little Pfeiffer girls who spent their days with the Pickett/Clarks. Nothing phased him! We will take a walk (maybe to Army Hill,  Kamp Washington or Church of the Woods ) and remember his shining example of  spending time outside. We love the idea of a bench where  one can take respite on the outdoor adventures. To Dave - “you have competed well; you have finished the race; you have kept the faith” - rest easy
I am so very sad to receive the news of David’s passing. His sweet soul and kind heart will be missed. May the memories we have help us to process this loss…

We are so very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. We remember him as such a fun loving calm influence always and such a great husband, dad, grandad.

We never have enough time with those we love. Please know we are holding you, Dee Dee and family close to our hearts.

Wishing you peace

Bobbi and Dave Cordingley
