David's obituary

David Michael DeSimone was born on February 3, 1957 to David De Simone and Lee Fiorentino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael passed away on Friday, July 12, at 67 years of age.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Lee “Honey” Fiorentino, and is survived by his wife, Tammy DeSimone; his daughter, Amanda Carmichael; his sons, Thomas Little, David DeSimone II, and Joseph DeSimone; and three granddaughters, Elliana, Alliyah, and Madelynn.

Michael grew up in Philadelphia and is survived by his father and four younger siblings.

Michael spent over 30 years as a dentist throughout Pennsylvania and Colorado, where many knew him as Dr. D, retiring in Castle Rock. Michael was cherished deeply by his patients and created many life-long relationships through his practice. From supporting local elementary schools, to donating his services to single-mothers, the impact that Michael had on the community of Castle Rock is not lost on those who knew him. He truly cherished every day that he spent at his practice and his generous heart is carried on through his children.

Michael and Tammy built a beautiful life in Castle Rock, Colorado, where he had the privilege of watching his children grow up. Michael loved nothing more than to be with his family. He spent many days with his children at Rockies and Avalanche games, he cherished his time as a Boy Scout leader, and he loved to cook red sauce and tortellini for his family. He was truly happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. His love and passion will not be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

He will be remembered for his generous spirit, for his red sauce, and for every Dog Days party he hosted.

A memorial service will be held at Creekside Bible Church in Castle Rock, Colorado on Saturday, July 27 at 10 o’clock in the morning. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Creekside Bible Church, who is generously hosting this memorial service, in honor of him.
