Dave's obituary
David D’Avanzo, lovingly known to his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Looney,” passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 67. David was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend who brought laughter and warmth to all who knew him.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kind heart, and his unwavering love for the New York Giants. Though he did not have children of his own, he was a proud and devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished his playful spirit and affection.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Karen D’Avanzo, his loving siblings: Kitty Meadows, Peter D'Avanzo, John & Cathy D'Avanzo, Lew & Maria D'Avanzo, Marie & Lorry Mendez, Robert & Linda D'Avanzo and Lauretta & Rob Mason, and a large extended family who will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to the American Lung Association.
