David's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. David Cubberley on May 20, 2024.
Born on April 2, 1961, David lived a fulfilling and vibrant life. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Gale and Bonnie Cubberley and his big brother Craig Cubberly. He is survived by his loving brother, Christopher Cubberley and his ex-girlfriend & best friend Stacey Barber and her children Jordan & Molly.
David had an exuberant palate and was particularly fond of Mexican food and pot pies. He had a penchant for a cold Coors Light or a nice glass of red wine. His favorite spots around town were Applebee's and Barragans on Sunset.
A sports enthusiast, David was a staunch supporter of the Dodgers, Angels and Lakers. His interest in hockey and deep admiration for the Dallas Stars and the Ducks was sparked by his friend, Stacey.
David enjoyed watching sports. He also liked to spend his free time engaging in lighter activities like walking, listening to music and spending quality time in the backyard with his dad.
With a personality that could light up a room, David was known for his charming, friendly demeanor and his exceptional sense of humor. He had a love for music, with bands like Rush, Collective Soul, and Otmar Leibert being among his favorites. He also found joy in watching television shows like MASH with his mom and Seinfeld. David also liked to share that his mom said he was better looking than Tom Cruise.
David preferred staying close to home. He enjoyed trips to Utah and Las Vegas. He liked taking day trips to Oak Glen to pick apples and enjoy fresh mountain air. David enjoyed weekend trips with Stacey to Big Bear and Palm Springs. He spent a lot of weekends in Burbank with Stacey and her kids. David was a like a father to Molly & Jordan.
David was a dedicated and hard-working individual, with a professional span of over 20 years in sales with Newport Stationers. This is a testament to his commitment and passion towards his work.
In the wake of his loss, we remember David for the vibrant, passionate, and loving individual he was. His spirit will forever live in our hearts and his legacy will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known him.
