It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David "D.C." Corwin, who passed away on September 1, 2024. Known by many as D.C., David was born on October 16, 1974, and lived a life filled with love, creativity, and music.
David was predeceased by his father, Robert Corwin, his grandparents, James and Helen Lynch, and Emerson and Henrietta Corwin. He is survived by his mother, Darlene Corwin, his father, William May, step-father, Alva Quellmalz, his siblings, Dawn and Robert Corwin, his children, Addison and Justin Corwin, and his grandson, Charlie Corwin. He leaves behind his niece and nephews, Adelaide, Christian, and Ollivander Corwin.
David was a gentle giant, quiet but loving, and deeply creative in countless ways. His artistic spark shone brightly, with a particular fondness for sketch art, lettering, airbrushing, and vehicle sketching. He was also a music lover, finding joy and solace in the songs of Metallica, Pantera, and Ice Cube. A born performer, he loved to watch live concerts, often losing himself in the rhythmic pulse of the music.
His presence echoed in his favorite local haunts - Lonnies, Pops, and B Street. Among his preferred pastimes were drawing, karaoke, and racing, activities that allowed him to express his vibrant spirit and connect with those around him. David was a devoted lover of food, with pizza and pasta con broccoli being his absolute favorites. He also had a fondness for Coca Cola, which never failed to bring a smile to his face.
David left an indelible imprint on the lives of all who knew him. His life was a testament to the importance of loyalty, keeping family together, and cherishing old friends. His legacy is one of love and kindness - a reminder that life is short, and we should treat our friends and family well.
We will forever remember David for his quiet strength, his loving nature, his creativity, his musical soul, and his artistic mind. He touched many lives in his too short time with us and will be celebrated often and remembered always. We love you, David.
