David "Dave" Chaney, 66, of Parkville, MO, passed away on July 16, 2021 from complications of COPD and congestive heart failure. Dave was born to Joe Chaney Sr. and Betty (Williamson) Chaney on Christmas Day, 1954, at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was the second born of four very close boys. Never knowing a stranger, Dave was quick to share stories and photos of his three children and two grandchildren. Working hard as a custodian for many years, he retired from Basehor-Linwood Schools in 2016. Dave was known as "Mister Dave," and loved watching the kids grow up in front of him. The family is honoring his wish of cremation, and is planning a celebration of his life. Services will be at noon on October 2nd, 2021 at New Story Church, 5500 Woodend Ave, Kansas City, KS.
