David's obituary

In Loving Memory of David Allen Celli
May 13, 1961 – January 2, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of David Allen Celli on January 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by love. Born on May 13, 1961, in Baltimore County, David lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a deep commitment to family and community.

David was the son of Pete Celli Sr. and Dorothy Celli . He was known for his unwavering kindness, hardworking spirit, and quick wit.

He faced life with courage and resilience, having received a heart transplant that gave him a second chance at living fully. Grateful for this gift, he found purpose in helping others navigate similar journeys, offering support and hope to those undergoing transplant procedures. A passionate football fan, David never missed cheering for his favorite team, and he was equally at home in the kitchen, where he loved sharing his culinary creations with family and friends. His greatest passion, however, was his children, who were his pride and joy. Father to three, David loved fiercely and laughed often. He was a man of honor and humor, reminding everyone around him to always do the right thing for the right reasons, regardless of consequence. He carried this sentiment with him through this later medical battles. He also found immense happiness in supporting his children’s dreams, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating lasting memories all together. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his loved ones and was a pillar of strength and support to those who knew him.

David is survived by His three children Dorothy Marshall, Mardi Celli and Tommy Celli and his brothers Pete and Thomas Celli .He is preceded in death by his brother James Michael Celli.

A celebration of David's life will be held in Baltimore at a later day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
