David's obituary

David Glenn Campbell Sr., 69, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on March 11, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph J. Campbell Sr. and Betty Jean Campbell (née Ritcher).

David attended Mastbaum High School and completed a program in electronics at Pennco Tech. He was an entrepreneur with a passion for helping others with their computer issues. Known for his patience, kindness, and generosity, David was a passionate driving force behind the creation of the Ardsley Wildlife Sanctuary and helped prevent the area from being turned into a housing development. He also enjoyed contributing to local politics, including serving as a commissioner in his ward in Ardsley.

David is survived by his children, Heather Coelho (née Campbell) and her husband Jorge Coelho, Nicole Campbell, and David Campbell Jr. and his wife Jessica Campbell (née Schlauer). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Neve and Brianna Coelho. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph J. Campbell Jr.

David always had a joke to share; enjoyed playing board games with friends and family; and loved tinkering with electronics.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the chapel at Caring Heart Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 6445 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19119. Light refreshments will follow. Parking is limited, with some additional parking on the street, so carpooling is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ardsley Wildlife Sanctuary by contacting Abington Township Parks and Recreation at 215-576-5213 or parksinfo@abingtonpa.gov.
