David's obituary
In Loving Memory of David Calderon
David Calderon, a resident of Pearland, TX, departed this world on January 18th, 2024, at Southwest Memorial Hermann, following a courageous battle with Colon Cancer. He was 63 years old. Born in Houston, TX, to Carolyn and Guadalupe Calderon.
As a young man, David shared an unbreakable bond with his brother and best friend, Ricardo Calderon. His early years were marked by a love for tinkering with and restoring old cars. Following in his father's footsteps, David joined Dupont Powder Coatings, where his mechanical skills were able to shine, earning him a reputation for fixing anything that crossed his path.
David's heart belonged to three great loves: Cars, Hunting, and Grilling on a Sunday. For 25 years, he shared his life with Caroline Calderon. Together, they were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Jessica and Ashley. As the family grew, weekends were filled with boating adventures, camping trips, and a shared love for the great outdoors.
The Calderon family gatherings at his parents' home for Sunday grilling were a testament to the profound impact David's parents had on his life. Family, laughter, and good food were cherished values that defined these gatherings.
He is survived by Caroline Calderon; daughters, Ashley Wisnewski and Jessica Goerlich; sons-in-law, Kevin Wisnewski and Jesse Goerlich; and grandchildren, Emily Goerlich and Sarah Goerlich. He is predeceased by his parents, Carolyn and Guadalupe Calderon, and brother Ricardo Calderon. Ricardo Calderon sadly passed one week prior to David from a chronic health condition.
A Memorial & Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 17th from 12:00PM-2:00PM at Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen Pearland. The family welcomes all those who wish to celebrate David's life and pay their respects during this time of reflection and remembrance at a place where the family spent many nights eating, laughing, and enjoying each others company. The immediate family will be doing a private burial the day prior and will provide details at a future date where you can pay your respects. Your thoughts, prayers, and fond memories are appreciated during this challenging time.
May David Calderon rest in eternal peace.
