David's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. David Bores. Born on August 19, 1943, David left us too soon on January 7, 2026. A family man with an infectious sense of humor, David will be dearly remembered for his ability to make everyone around him laugh. His mantra was that laughter is the best medicine, and he would go to great lengths to ensure a smile on every face.
David loved the simple things in life; he wasn't one for books, and while you wouldn't find him excitedly discussing the latest sports scores, he was a big fan of Johnny Cash. His music could often be heard drifting from the house or car. When it came to television, he had a particular fondness for the exchanges and rulings on The People's Court. As for the silver screen, he preferred the news, always staying informed about the world around him.
A passionate outdoorsman, David relished in activities like hunting and fishing. These hobbies allowed him to enjoy the tranquility of nature while also doubling as his preferred mean of exercising. Boulder Lake, Wisconsin, was close to his heart and regarded as his favorite vacation spot.
One of his most cherished drinks was Pabst, a testament to his unpretentious and straightforward character. Among his many accomplishments, David was proudest of raising his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that continues through his wife, Barbara Bores; daughters, Michelle Kinnard and Deborah Dye; sons-in-law, Gerald Kinnard, and Barry Dye. His memories will also be treasured by his granddaughters, Alexandria Kinnard; grandsons, Jacob Kinnard, Bradley Baltz, and Robert Bores. Each one of them inherited a part of his joyful spirit and his love for life.
Although David is no longer with us, his jovial spirit, his lessons, and the love he shared with his family and friends remain. His life stands as a testament to the power and enduring comfort of laughter, even in the most challenging times. David Bores is gone, but he will never be forgotten.
