David's obituary

We are sad to announce that David Toscano Armez, (age 61) of Hesperia, CA., entered his eternal rest on November 29th, 2022. He held on just long enough for the love of his life to be by his side.

David was the middle child born to the parents of Robert and Guadalupe Toscano Armez in Apple Valley, CA. on March 13th, 1961. He graduated from Apple Valley High School class of 1979. He met his wife in 1982 and the two were married in October 1985. They had their first of three children in 1986, their second child in 1987 and their third child in 1989.

David held a number of jobs and roles in his life. He worked as a line cook for The Cocky Bull and a truck driver for a lumberyard to name a couple. David also owned a successful lawn care service until  he entered early retirement. As a retiree David took on the role of caretaker for his father, mother, and brother for many years. Some other roles David held were husband, father and grandfather or “TaTa” as his grandkids called him.

David grew up Catholic and was a church going member for many years of his life. He attended services at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Another thing David did in his spare time was attend car shows, work on model cars, and was even a member of car club in his younger days.

As a child, David played little league baseball and years later he played in an adult co-ed softball league with his wife, family, and friends. David enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Together the family would watch the Dodgers games on TV, go to car shows, listen to oldies music, tell stories and play basketball in the backyard. David and his family would also travel to Texas, El Salvador, and Mexico as well as take short trips to Vegas, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Stateline.

For many years David could be found singing and dancing while doing dialysis at DiVita where he befriended some of the staff and other patients until he received a kidney transplant and no longer needed to continue dialysis treatment. David would also regularly eat at Spring House, and Mollies Country Café where he could spend hours talking to and joking with the staff, many of whom became some of his closest friends. Another way he liked to stay connected with family and friends was by checking in on Facebook regularly. He would comment on friends’ posts to reconnect with distant family members and old friends and would also post pictures with his grandkids like any proud grandpa would.

His father Robert Toscano Armez, mother Guadalupe Toscano Armez, and sister Gloria Armez preceded David in death.

David is survived by his wife Berta Luz Armez and their three sons David Armando, Oscar and Robert Luis. David also leaves behind two grandchildren, Luz Isabel and Illiana as well as his brother Jose (Chabelo).

Although no one was ready for David to leave, he can now get the rest that his soul, body and mind needed. He is reunited with his family who called him in Heaven.

YOU NEVER SAID GOODBYE Author Unknown

You never said I'm leaving,

You never said goodbye.

You were gone before I knew it,

And only God knew why.

A million times I needed you,

A million times I cried.

If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,

In death I love you still.

In my heart you hold a place,

That no one could ever fill.

It broke my heart to lose you,

But you didn't go alone.

For part of me went with you,

The day God took you home.

I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. He was social, jokester, and dare I say, a fashionable dresser.
