I first met Dave Berman in 1991 through Valley Events with his Duathlons, at Fountain Hills, and Triathlons at Arizona Ski Springs, I started out as a recreational athlete, and through the years of entering Dave’s races. I was able to qualify and participate in the 1998 Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Without Dave’s frequent races. I would’ve never even imagined doing an Ironman triathlon, much less being in the Ironman Triathlon World Championships. Dave loved his local athletes doing well. He was an inspiration, a supporter of all local athletes, and just an all-around amazing man. Thank You Big Guy❤️

Condolences to the Berman family.  I always enjoyed running Valley Events because I got to meet very nice people from the Valley Events workers and the runners, too. Sincerely .... steven finkelstein

Your family is so awesome. It makes me so sad that Dave is gone. What a legacy, though. Four beautiful children and children in law’s along with all the beautiful grand children. What an awesome life he had.

I've always told anyone for decades, that I grew up around the best parents, friends, teammates, neighbors etc. that the world can offer. Dave and the Bermans are no exception. Condolences to the family and friends affected by his loss.
