I just want to say that I knew him for 4 years of my life in highschool, went to all the football games and practices.  He was an awesome athlete and had.a great heart.  We were about the same age, sorry to hear he was called home too soon.  I know he is blessed with the Father.

I just heard the news about Big D! Oh wow... such a great life. I am so sorry to hear of your passing. He was a classmate below me and always so nice to me. I am not a bit surprised by all of his success. My deepest sympathies to his family and to all of our Viking classmates who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Atwood family.  

Big D ... as you are laid to rest today, you will always be remembered as a wonderful & great person.  You always had that smile that brighten up the room.  Your heart was as big as Texas!  As it was nice to have meet you back in 1994 in our Motorola days (as I was fresh out of the military) ... it will be nice to see you again with that same big smile one day up in heaven when my time here on earth comes to an end.

I met Darryl About 50 years ago . We grew up together in the Stonegate neighborhood.Darryl and the Atwood family were always a kind and giving people .
Darryl was always a kind and giving person a true gentle giant and the only thing bigger than Darryl was his heart .
I can’t think of a single person who did not like and admire Darrell,he was a true kind and giving soul.

Condolence’s to his family, but rest assured he will meet his rewards in heaven.

He was such a great helpful p…
He was such a great helpful person he was always smiling and just so sweet and helpful I remember always working with him and he was just so helpful always giving a helping hand and just so funny good memories we had working at applied materials he will be missed ❤️ My condolences go out to his family rest in heaven Darryl🙏
