Darrin's obituary

Darrin Michael Mottram Sr ,55, of Manchester NH , Passed away unexpectedly from a Heart Attack at  his home on Wednesday , January 24, 2024 . Born on February 18, 1968,  he was the son of Francis and Delores (Trepanier) Mottram.

Darrin was born in Lawrence , Mass, and attended Methuen high school, after high school Darrin went to work  as a laborer at Environmental Restoration Inc in Methuen , Mass  and quickly rose through the ranks and moved up to  Forman and running his own jobs and crew  . Darrin was a leader when it came to his profession. Darrin also worked for his father in -law Charles Torosian for many years installing fences all around Methuen and Lawrence for "Torosian Fence Co" .  Darrin also worked for "National Surface Cleaning " for many years running his own jobs . Before he retired Darrin  was  working for "Samson Aluminum Door & Window out of Local 111 in Methuen and was a professional window installer , Darrin knew everything their was to know about window installation and took such great pride in his work installing windows. Darrin's craftmanship and  work can still be seen all over the Boston area and  in the Projects in Boston. He left his mark on this world in many buildings. 

In 1985 at age 17 Darrin and his best friend Andrew Distefano decided to go to an "Under 21" Dance Club in Methuen, Mass , Called "The Boots & Saddle " It was that night he noticed Stacey Torosian dancing and later would tell Stacey that as soon as he saw her he knew he would marry her .  

Darrin married his high school sweet heart Stacey Torosian in 1988 at the American Legion in Methuen , Mass. They had 2 children Darrin Jr in 1988 and Shelbie in 1991. He was a wonderful husband and father and a great provider , His family always came first to him. Darrin was an amazing and involved dad .

Darrin and Stacey were together 36 years from the young age of 15 and 17 and were happily married for 33 wonderful years , They divorced in 2021 but Stacey never stopped loving him after all those years together , She was his first love and he hers .They spent a life time together and that will never be erased from her heart or from the memories of everyone who knew them for all those years together. 

 Darrin loved taking his kids camping at Salisbury beach where they spent many summers and camping all over NH and Maine with  family members who all had campers too. He spent lots of time camping and vacationing  with his In- Laws  Charles and Diana Torosian  and his brother in- law Charles Torosian Jr  and sister in- law Laurie  Torosian and all his nieces and nephews .. He had a big family that loved him .  He loved sitting by a bonfire and reminiscing  and laughing with friends & family. Darrin was a family man and loved his family. 

He also enjoyed fishing , Collecting coins , Reading true crime books, and anything mafia related. He would read the same books over and over again.  Darrin collected coins his entire life he liked to study them and find errors, he had a passion for cooking and was an amazing cook.. He was famous for his "Chicken Thigh BBQ  Sauce'” at every summer cookout where every one looked forward to it and Stacey's homemade rice  pilaf  . He loved  Collecting baseball cards and all sorts of metal collectables. 

 Darrin was very intelligent and had a natural ability  at diagnosing and fixing cars , he  never paid for a mechanic and could always figure out what the issue was  , he could fix just about anything . 

Darrin and Stacey also have 3 beautiful grand daughters together  Aubrie  11, Nova 6  & Arya 5 who he loved and adored so much. He was the best papa to all 3 of them  . He loved spending time with them weather it was going to the park , camping at the beach , cooking for them , coloring or playing barbie’s with them he would just want them to be happy , He was a hands on papa and his grand daughters will miss him dearly .

Darrin had a love for the game of  baseball and teaching & coaching his son Darrin Jr how to pitch, hit , catch and play the game. Darrin was a huge fan of  The  Boston Red Sox and loved watching the game nightly and going  to Opening Day when he could .

Darrin will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him and loved him  . He is Survived by his  Former Wife  Stacey Torosian , and his beloved Children Darrin Mottram Jr and his wife Kristin of Derry ,NH, and Shelbie Mottram of Manchester ,NH, His In -Laws  Darlene Torosian of Hampton Beach Nh , Carlene Magoon and her husband Harold Magoon of North Port Florida , Charlie Torosian Jr and his wife Laurie Torosian of Myrtle Beach SC , Bridget Trottier and her husband Rick Trottier  of Litchfield NH, His siblings, Denise Megrian, Tracy Lickteig and her husband John Licktieg , Billy Mottram, Lori Traxler and her husband Harry Traxler II, and Kelly Lavallee and her husband Peter Lavallee. Darrin is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Aubrie Hatch, Nova Anderson-Mottram, and Arya Anderson, as well as several nieces, nephews . 

Darrin is pre-deceased by his  in-laws, Charles Torosian Sr. and Diana Torosian of Methuen . And his parents Deloris Trepanier of Lawrence, Ma,  and Francis Mottram of Methuen , Ma, and brother in-law Aram Megrian of Methuen, Ma ,His  Aunt Shirley ( Trepanier) Hanes of Lawrence , Ma,  , and Aunt Barbara ( Mottram) Castro of Methuen, Ma. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley Street Methuen, MA 01844  service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 PM.
