Darren's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Darren Scott Lucas. Born on July 4, 1968, Darren embodied the spirit of independence, resilience, and hard work. He departed us too soon on June 15, 2024, leaving a void in all the lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished by those he left behind.
Darren is survived by his beloved wife, Geneva Lucas, whom he adored immensely since their marriage in 2021. Finding each other later in life, their bond was immediate and stead fast. Darren has also left behind two wonderful children, his son Grady M Lucas, his daughter Gabrielle A Lucas and two beautiful step-daughters Alexandra E Harris and Zoe A Harris. They were his greatest accomplishments and he had imprinted upon them his values of kindness, compassion, and a wonderful sense of humor.
His parents, John G Lucas and Irene M. Lucas, deeply mourn the loss of their caring son. Darren's brother, John P Lucas, and sister, Cari D Glasco, share the grief of this untimely loss. He was a loving uncle to his nieces Madison Kosydor, Isabella Lucas, and nephew Nathan Kosydor, who will hold on to the joyous memories of their time together.
Darren was a man full of life and laughter. His warm and hilarious personality made him the life of any party. Darren was known for his love of golf. When he wasn’t busy enjoying life with his wife, friends and family, Darren would most often be found on a golf course. His love for the sport is only rivaled by the amount of broken clubs, range finders and cuss words uttered on the course.
We invite all those who wish to honor Darren's memory to join us on June 29, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Paradise Valley Golf Club for a Celebration of Life. This event will be a tribute to Darren's vibrant spirit and indomitable positivity. We ask that guests wear his favorite color blue or golf attire. Darren would want a party and that is the spirit in which we will be celebrating on Saturday. Drinks, food, laughter and joy for a man so many knew and loved so well.
Darren will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His warmth, kindness, and loving spirit has left an indelible mark on us all. His laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever. In our thoughts, he is forever alive, forever missed, and forever loved.
