Darrell Gene Monson passed away on Wednesday, May 1st surrounded by his wife and children. Darrell was born on March 21st, 1952 in Glasgow, Montana. He was the 1st of two children to Buster and Shirley(Stensland) Monson.

The family moved to Seattle in 1956 where he grew up in Ballard. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1970. Following
high school he joined the Army in 1973 and served until 1976.
