Darrel Lee Hawkins, resident of Augusta, KS, formerly of Burlington, KS, passed away on July 23rd at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, KS.
He was born to Leota Peryl Johnson Hawkins and Emmett Hawkins November 6th, 1942 in Westphalia, KS. Darrel was raised and schooled at Burlington, KS. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1960 then attended Emporia State Teacher College. Darrel married his childhood sweetheart, Renee Wells on February 19, 1965. From …
