Darnelle's obituary
Of Darnelle's legacy, the dash in between her birth and passing will shine forever. As the first born of five, she grew to be her mother's best friend and her father's helper. She sparkled on earth for 72-years and she loved her tribe to the moon and back. As an adult, she lived in the same house for decades and had a family of her own. Surely, it was written in the stars that Darnelle would fill out time, enter motherhood, and assume form of an angel. It's beautiful how her two children, Aimee (Guerin) and Andy (Roberts) resemble her so. The mirrors of life also reflect such loveliness in her four grandchildren. It's easy to believe that Darnelle gazes into the looking glass from heaven and smiles constantly. She waits for her beloved husband to join her in paradise and she radiates in love. She's happy she became Mrs. Goodsell in 1984 and her marriage to Richard will be forever. It is forever that Darnelle is as she always was meant to be. She was and she is a kindred daughter to her parents, a blessed sister to her siblings, a loving mother to her children, and a wonderful wife for her husband. She was a good friend to many and a dreamer of great things. In the celebration of her life, she's not only put color in every rainbow, she's made the sun shine.
(Written by her beloved sister, Karen)
