I only learned of Darlene’s adding today and am sending my heartfelt sympathies to all who loved her. As a supervisor for NAEP she provided guidance, support and friendship in all my interactions with her. She will be missed.

Paula and I moved our family to New York for my new position at FLACRA working for Marty. Darlene was so welcoming to us, inviting us to their home for meals and swimming in their pool. Our children,
Elliot and Carrie, were the same ages as Gabby and Jason and they particularly liked that there were new friends their age to play with. Darlene was such a gracious host and made the 500 mile transition for our family much easier and welcoming. We will always remember that time with fondness and smiles thanks to Darlene.
