Darlene Helen Koncar of Nanaimo, BC, passed away peacefully in her home on January 9, 2022. Darlene was born on July 14th 1941 in Mountain Park Alberta to Nikola and Milica Funduk, who immigrated from Yugoslavia. While living in Edmonton Alberta, Darlene met Donald Koncar and they were soon married in April of 1958. Donald and Darlene spent their years operating many businesses across the western provinces; White Bear, Regina, High River, McBride and Ladysmith to name a few. Being social butterflies, they loved meeting people and created long lasting friendships anywhere they went. Anyone who knew Darlene knew her love of cooking and baking. She was always happy in the kitchen or to be outside tending to her flowers.
