Darla Lee (Jackson) Kinsella, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, in Roseburg, Oregon. She was born on November 14, 1953, in Prineville, Oregon, to Marvin and Enola Jackson. Darla's life was a beautiful testament to love, compassion, and dedication, which will be cherished by all who knew her.
Darla grew up in a nurturing environment and was deeply influenced by her parents, Marvin and Enola, who predeceased her. Their love and guidance shaped the remarkable woman she became. Darla graduated from Crook County High School in 1972. She furthered her education in nursing by earning an RN degree from Central Oregon Community College (COCC), which enabled her to touch countless lives throughout her career.
Her professional journey was marked by her commitment to home health, hospice care, and long-term care, where she served with unwavering dedication. Darla's kindness and empathy shone through in every interaction, and her patients and their families were profoundly impacted by her gentle spirit and unwavering support.
Darla was not only a dedicated healthcare professional but also a loving family member. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Kinsella, her beloved son, Kyle Staton and her cherished daughter, Patsy Caraway. Darla took immense pride in her two grandsons, Drake and Aiden, who brought her immeasurable joy. She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Bekkie Jackson, along with three nephews all who will forever cherish her memory.
Outside of her remarkable career and family life, Darla found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. She loved gardening, where she cultivated not only plants but also a sense of peace and beauty in her surroundings. Fishing and taking drives in the woods were cherished pastimes that allowed her to connect with nature and find tranquility in the world around her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mercy Hospice of Roseburg for the compassionate care and support they provided during Darla's final days. Their dedication to ensuring her comfort and dignity will always be remembered.
