Darin Petro passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 6, 2018. Darin was born to George and Janice Petro on August 8, 1967 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He excelled in sports, playing baseball, basketball and football, going on to play college football at Muhlenberg. He was active in the special needs community with Buddy Ball and the Port Reading Saints. He is survived by his mother Janice, his wife Dawn and their two children Patrick and Parker; his siblings & their spouses, George & Maryann, Daniel & Lisa, and Gaye & Bert; nieces and nephews including Elise, Jennifer, Lindsay, Staci and Daniel. Darin loved life and lived every moment to its fullest – he loved time spent down the shore with his family, and on his boat, eating, drinking and laughing. A celebration of his life will be held in his honor on Tuesday, May 15th at 11 am at St. Andrew’s church in Avenel located at 244 Avenel Street.
