Darenda Cherise "Doady" Dyson, born on September 22, 1976, passed away on September 24, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the age of 46. Her life was a testament to resilience, faith, and an unwavering love for her family.

Darenda was the beloved daughter of Margaret Burse and Jerry Burse. She grew up surrounded by the love and companionship of her siblings: Jarvis Burse, Joshua Burse, Jerry Burse Jr., Brittany Burse, and Danielle Burse. A proud graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School, Darenda carried the lessons of her education into a life defined by hard work and determination.

A devoted wife to Corey Dyson Sr., Darenda found her greatest joy in her family. She was the loving mother of seven children: Jada Dyson, Jayden Dyson (deceased), Darion Dyson, Jeremiah Dyson, Corey Dyson Jr., Genesis Dyson, and Corriane Dyson. Her legacy continues through her six cherished grandchildren: Jayden Dyson, Corey Dyson III, A’lani Dyson, Ava Dyson, Avianne Dyson (deceased), and Ry’Ley Johnson. Darenda’s boundless love for her children and grandchildren was evident in every aspect of her life; she always prioritized their well-being and happiness above all else.

Darenda was a woman of deep faith who lived as a God-fearing individual. Her strength and perseverance shone brightly in all that she did. Hardworking and resourceful, she was a true soldier until the very end—always finding ways to provide for her family and ensure their needs were met. Whether through her dedication to building or simply making things happen for those she loved most, Darenda’s determination inspired everyone around her.

Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. May her enduring spirit bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
