Daphne's obituary

Daphne Elizabeth Bella, age 45, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born on May 22, 1980, in Galveston, Texas, Daphne lived a life marked by resilience, loyalty, and a fierce love for her family.

Daphne was the beloved mother of three children: Jessica Marie Bellah and her husband Jefferson Smith, Nicholas Marshall Bellah, and Joshua Lee Parker and wife Cheyenne Parker. She was a proud grandmother to Birdie Marie Smith, Josie June Smith, Aimie Lea Smith, and Joshua Lee Parker Jr. Her family was the center of her world, and though her journey through life was not without hardship, her devotion to them never wavered.

She is also remembered with love by her older sister April Nacole Poole Graf and husband Jason Archer; her nieces Christian Allysun Law and husband Eric Spears, and Victoria Alexus Dellinger and husband Kenneth Holloway along with their daughter Olivia Jean Holloway; and her half-sister Amber Poole. Daphne’s grandmother Betty Poole survives her as well, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Poole side of the family.

Daphne was preceded in death by her mother Lisa Lea Jones and stepfather Robert Jones; her father Arthur Eugene Poole; her grandparents Carol Leone Pyatte and Joseph B. Pyatte; her grandfather Keith Shupe; great-grandparents Wilson Edward Willett and Thelma Leona Swain; grandfather Acie F. Poole Sr.; aunt Marnie Allison Sears; and cousin Acie Poole III.

Those who knew Daphne will remember her as unpredictable in the most unforgettable ways—her phone calls could bring laughter or surprise at any moment. She had an undeniable presence that could light up any room she entered. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Despite facing personal battles with addiction and mental illness throughout her life, Daphne remained deeply loyal to those she loved. Even when she struggled to show it outwardly, the depth of her love for family ran strong.

Her life was not easy—but it was hers—and she lived it with a spirit that refused to give up. Her family holds onto the hope that she has now found the peace she long sought in life—a place of rest in the arms of the Lord.

Daphne’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply. May she be remembered for both the joy she brought into this world and the strength with which she faced its challenges.
