Danny Dale Howard, 83, peacefully passed away at home in Grove, OK on November 27, 2024. Danny was born on May 16, 1941 in Corning, IA to Dale Edwin Howard and Mary Violet Roberts Howard.

Danny grew up in the Kansas City area where he met and married Carol Siebert and had two daughters Leilani and Dawn. After serving in the Navy, they moved back to Kansas. He worked for Colgate Palmolive for 25 years, first on the line and later as a millwright. He married Sharon Sturgeon in 1991.  They lived in the Kansas City area until 15 years ago when they moved to Grove, OK. 

He loved to be outdoors and was an avid fisherman for many years. In his younger days basketball was his sport of choice. In recent years, pickleball was his passion. Danny had a strong faith and walked closely with his Lord and Savior. He was a steadfast example to many. He loved to sing and was always part of the church choir.

Danny is predeceased by his parents, his sister Cheryl Howard and his wife, Sharon Howard.  He is survived by his two daughters Leilani (Mike) Wagner of Shawnee, KS; Dawn Salazar of Kansas City, KS; step-son Joe Davila of Grove, OK; his sister Janice Haffner, his brother David (Julie) Howard; and his brother Mark (Cheryl) Howard. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Grove, OK on January 4, 2025 at 3:00 pm. 400 S Main St, Grove, OK 74344

A second Celebration of Life will be held at Stony Point Baptist Church, Kansas City, KS on January 11,2025 at 11:00 am.  7938 Barnett Ave, KCKS 66112

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Danny’s name to the American Cancer Society.
