Danny's obituary

Danny Lee Kittle, 70, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on April 15, 2025, after struggling with Parkinson’s Disease for the past several years. Born on May 10, 1954, in Covington, Kentucky, Danny lived a life marked by family devotion, craftsmanship, and service.

Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard, a chapter of his life that shaped his deep sense of discipline and integrity. After his service, he built a successful career in the flooring industry, and eventually launched Kittle’s Flooring in South Florida, a thriving business he was so proud of. Beyond business, Dan loved fishing in open waters, and was an incredibly gifted and talented craftsman. His vision, creativity, skill and passion were perhaps best exemplified in the home he built for his family in Tennessee—a true labor of love and testament to his dedication.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Cheryl Kittle, with whom he shared a bond built on enduring love and partnership. He was a proud father to three children: Jennifer Scalzitti (Terry), Rachel Huerta (Jody), and Andrew Kittle (Sarah). His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren—Connor, Nicholas, Asia, Levi, Emery, Avery, Kylie, and Noah—each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Dan is also survived by his two sisters, Terrie LaRue (Keith) and Sheila Kittle, as well as his many nieces and nephews - who held a special place in his heart. Dan was predeceased by his parents, Robert Kittle and Wanda Lou (Poynter) Kittle, whose love and influence helped shape the kind, hardworking man he became.

Those who knew Dan will remember his strength, his wit, and the way he poured himself into every endeavor. Whether it was serving his country, building a home, running his business, or simply spending time with his family, he did so with unwavering heart and determination.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, the immediate family will hold a private celebration of life to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease, https://www.neurochallenge.org whose support was instrumental in helping Dan and Cheryl navigate his journey with Parkinson’s Disease.

Danny’s spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched—his memory a blessing that will be cherished always.
