Danny "Captain Dan" Bower, 70, of Brighton, MI, passed away on July 25, 2023 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Danny was born on September 9th 1952 to Stanley and Marvene Bower in Ypsilanti. Danny landed his job as a semi truck driver for Domino's Pizza for 27 years. In 1973 they met while attending night school classes. He met Darlene, and they wed in 1973 going on to have 3 children, Michelle, Jennifer and Robert.

Danny was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was delightfully proud of Michelle, Jennifer, Robert and Darlene and always tried his best to support them.

Danny was also a passionate camper and boater and could often be found at one of his 2 favorite spots up north when he wasn’t at home.

Anyone who knew Danny knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Danny was predeceased by Stanley and Marvene . He is survived by wife Darlene, children Michelle, Jennifer, Robert, grandchildren Amber, Clara, Isabelle, Grace, Jake and Serenity, sister Suzan and nephew Matthew. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society. There will be a memorial at Thursday August 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Brighton Nazarene Church.
