Danielle will always be my musical bestie, belting out Les Miz and always insisting that I sing (terribly) the "Kim" parts from Miss Saigon. We studied together, sang together, laughed together, traveled together, and went through marriages, divorces, and goodbyes of all sorts. Among many favorite memories with her is driving through midtown in my convertible, top down, singing Les Miz songs at the top of our lungs during rush hour traffic along J Street and not caring how awful we sounded or how wrecked our voices would be the next day. Another is our long days of studying during grad school, making a several-feet-long, color timeline of the pieces of literature we had to study, steadily downing tea. She also "nearly" took out a kid with a Roman Candle one 4th of July; we laughed about that for a long time. I will forever miss her.
