Daniel's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Youpa on December 1, 2021. Born on January 20, 1963, Daniel lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Youpa, whom he married in 1985; daughters, Tatiana and Danielle Youpa; father, Don Youpa; brothers, Dave and Andrew Youpa; and sister, Ellyn Perrault.
After graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz in 1996, Daniel embarked on a successful career at Northrop Grumman Corporation in 1999. However, it was his personal passions and interests that truly defined him. A lover of music, Daniel's favorites included Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, and Led Zeppelin. His taste in films was just as eclectic, with Apocalypse Now being one of his top choices. Outside of work, Daniel was an avid surfer and never missed an opportunity to hit the waves.
As someone who cared deeply about the environment, Daniel was actively involved in several causes to protect our planet for future generations. Described by those who knew him as goofy, intellectual, and down-to-earth, Daniel's unique personality was a beacon of light for those fortunate enough to have been in his presence.
The legacy Daniel leaves behind includes his two daughters and three grandchildren. His memory will continue to live on through the love and laughter he shared with his family and friends. As we mourn his passing, let us remember the joy he brought to those around him and be inspired to carry on his love for life and all that it has to offer.
