Tittel Del Mar
2020, Playa Jeremi, Curaçao

It was shortly after the first lockdown, we had just met, and you invited me to join you at the beach and asked me to take you to a local spot. You said you'd never been before and that it was different, but that you liked it. As always, you spoil all your friends; snacks and drinks galore. Spending time with us is what you considered the return "payment".

I enjoyed our time spent together so much I never thought to take many photos... Thought we'd have plenty of time. Lesson learned, my friend. Now I make time to take all the photos. Thank you for showing me how vulnerable and special time really is.

At least once a week, you cross my mind, just "Out of the blue." But things are never random, certainly not with you. So I like to think that you are thinking about me in those moments too. Miss you, bud. Love you. Save me a seat at the heavenly beach <3

We lived on campus during Hurricane Ike and went out to survey things shortly before the storm rolled in. The wind was already picking up a bit, so Daniel decided to illustrate.

I learned how to self reflect. He was always striving to understand his own motives, thoughts, and actions. He wanted to become the best version of himself and would seek out “self help” reads and content. He was so driven and motivated
