Daniel's obituary
Daniel Louis Tercero peacefully passed in his home in the early morning hours of January 9, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona.
He served four years in the Air Force, protected the community of Tucson in the police force for ten years, worked at Jenson’s Custom Ammunition for ten years, and eventually retired in 2009 from Tucson Federal Credit Union.
When Dan wasn’t working, he enjoyed time with his grandchildren—and eventually his great grandson, baby Bear—he loved sitting lakeside and fishing, getting his hands dirty with his gardening, making delicious homemade meals, as well as traveling and new experiences.
Dan was a very skilled handyman and craftsman. He had a way with being innovative, clever and resourceful with what was available at hand. Even more so, he was selfless—always thinking of others, and putting their needs first. His neighbors will tell you he was always helping drag cans in or water plants if they were away on vacation. Additionally, Dan was ever the social butterfly, constantly seeking others out and truly getting to know them. He made friends wherever he was, no matter what he was doing—picking up groceries at the store, with service people at the auto shop, and always had a good friend he could call a favor in because of his lifelong friendships.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Belen, along with his daughter and her husband, his three grandchildren, his grandson-in-law, his great grandchildren AJ and Bear, his many nieces and nephews, and his stray cats he would lovingly care for in his last years.
