Mr. Daniel Thomas "Dan" Sutherland, born on April 27, 1955, in Noank, Connecticut, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Longmont, Colorado. He was 69 years old.

Dan was a devoted father and grandfather whose life was deeply rooted in music and family. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Benjamin Sutherland, Kristene Derrick (Sutherland), and Joel Sutherland. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Emelia, Aeden, and Isla Sutherland.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathleen Sutherland, his parents Jack and Grace Sutherland, and his brother John Sutherland.

Dan had a lifelong passion for music. He found joy in playing the guitar and sharing that joy with others—especially children��through teaching. His love for music was not only a personal pursuit but also a gift he generously passed on to younger generations.

In accordance with his wishes, Daniel’s ashes were spread in the Atlantic Ocean near Stonington Point, Connecticut on April 26, 2025—a place close to his heart where he grew up.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire through the music he loved so dearly.
