I went to Devry with Daniel. I google search for him a few years ago and came up with nothing. Today, a guy at work reminded me of Daniel. Devry days Daniel with his black nails and his unassuming intelligence. He would make fun of our friendship, how a cholo and a goth get along so well. We would go out to lunch in my lowrider and he would smile the entire time in the car. Before he got his ford merkur, he called once from west Hollywood asking if I could pick him up and take him home. He said when his group got out of the club, they were chased and he lost his ride home. After I said yes, he warned me about how he was dressed. Ill admit I was surprised but not surprised. He had a lot stories. I never forgot about him nor will I forget. My condolences.

Losing a son, a brother, a husband, and a dad. It is an immeasurable loss that cannot be measured. I join Daniel's parents Denny and Betty Roark, Victor and Marisa Maddens, Shannon and Nick Roark. May God give you grace to pass hour of pain.

Daniel was a great friend. I was sorry to have lost contact in the mid 90s. Recently I found contact with our friend Gabriel and was happy to hear of Daniel married and living in LB. I had hoped to see him again soon. 😥
My heart goes out to Shannon and son. Whom I've never met.
And to Betty, Dennis, and Marissa. Whom were like a second family for a few years. Daniel and I made so much noise, playing music in the garage and coming and going to clubs at all hours and delivering papers in the middle of the night. His family was always supportive.
I had always thought of Daniel as younger because he was a year behind in school. But in reality he was 13 days older. A fellow Virgo. We also shared the same christian, middle, name James.
When it came to recoding music I never had such a great partner. Was a shame we were never allowed to front any of our projects.
Daniel James Roark, I will miss you forever, my friend. I love you!

Shannon. My sincerest condolences. Loosing a part of you is extremely painful and in such a distressing time I wanted to let you know that soon our God Jehovah will put an end to death. (1 Corinthians 15:26) Please also take in comfort in the words found in John 5:28,29 where it says that “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” May you find comfort and endure till the day you see Daniel again
