Daniel's obituary
Daniel Henry Rinas
December 22, 1933 – September 8, 2024
Daniel Henry Rinas, age 90, passed away on September 8, 2024.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 22, 1933, to Edward and Amelia Rinas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Sobczak, and his brother Herbert Rinas.
Daniel worked his entire career in the finance department at Inland Steel. Quiet and steady by nature, he valued hard work, routine, and responsibility. Though reserved, Daniel was thoughtful and lived with a quiet sense of devotion—to his work, his church, and the small pleasures that brought him joy.
He married Alice Reardon Rinas, and after her passing, later married Peggy Blalack McGee Rinas, who passed away in 2023. Over the years, he found companionship in his Beagles, whose loyalty and energy matched his deep love for dogs.
Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. In later years, when those pastimes became harder to enjoy, he kept his love for music and dancing alive. Whether humming “Oklahoma Hills” or swaying to “Hey, Good Lookin’,” Daniel held onto the rhythms that made him smile.
A man of faith, he was a regular churchgoer and found comfort in his relationship with God.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Linda Bush, Jeffery Rinas, Kelly Tanner, and Michael Rinas and other extended relatives who kept in contact with him until the end. His presence will be missed and remembered by those who knew him through the quiet constancy he brought to their lives.
