Daniel's obituary
Daniel Jay Plummer, 63, of Arrington, VA, passed away unexpectedly on March 03, 2023.
The sun rose and the world welcomed Daniel on April 17, 1959, a day the world became a little brighter. Born to parents Jay Plummer and Diane Bartie in Chico, California, he was eventually relocated, to be raised by his grandfather, Alpheus Simonds and his wife Olive Marie, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. During his youth, he attended school in Fitchburg and worked many jobs before finding the propane and gas piping industry.
In his younger years, Daniel served briefly in the United States Army National Guard, Fort Devens, in Devens, Massachusetts. He was later married and was elated to have become father to his two wonderful sons, Ryan and Kevin.
He was eventually licensed in gas piping and worked in propane and gas piping for a number of years until ultimately establishing his own company, Gas Man LLC. When he was not working, he had a passion for war history, civil war reenactment, movies, hockey, and music. He loved the Talking Heads, but his all time favorite band was the Electric light Orchestra; he always spoke of wanting to see them live with his son, Ryan. Daniel shared fond memories and his love of fishing, and ice fishing, with his grandfather, Alpheus, at the Quabbin Reservoir and the Connecticut River.
Daniel was predeceased by his Grandfather, Alpheus Simonds and his wife Olive Marie Simonds, his father, Jay D Plummer, and his brothers, Jan Jankowski and Bart Bartie. He is survived by his sons, Ryan Plummer, 36, of Nashua, NH, and his two daughters, Daniel’s granddaughters, Ava Marie, and Winter Mae, and his wife Brianna and her four children. His son Kevin Plummer, 33, of Dracut, MA. His mother, Diane Bartie, and brothers Bill Bartie and Leo Bordeleau. Daniel also leaves many more friends and extended family members.
We will be holding a celebration of life for Daniel to be determined at a later date. Daniel will be dearly missed and always remembered.
