Daniel's obituary
August 10, 1992 – January 22, 2026
Daniel John Pearce, age 33, passed away on January 22, 2026. Born on August 10, 1992, Daniel was a proud United States veteran who carried both the strength and the unseen burdens that so often follow those who serve.
Daniel faced many battles in his life, including struggles with alcoholism, depression, and deep feelings of isolation. Though he often felt alone, he was deeply loved. His journey over the past year reflected both hardship and effort, as he moved through rehabilitation and sober living programs while continuing to seek stability and healing. Most recently, he had been staying at a veterans’ shelter in Louisville.
Those who knew Daniel knew a soul who felt deeply. He wrestled with self-doubt and pain that were not always visible to others. His sister stood by him through every chapter, holding him up even when she herself was weary. Their bond was lifelong, fierce, and filled with love.
Daniel will be remembered not for his struggles alone, but for his humanity, his service to his country, and the love he inspired in those closest to him. He was a son, a brother, and a veteran. And he mattered.
Daniel will be cremated following the completion of an autopsy, and his remains will be returned to his family. There will be no public viewing or traditional funeral service.
His suffering has ended. May he now rest in peace.
He is survived by his loving family, including his devoted sister, who loved him beyond measure.
