Daniel's obituary
Daniel Navarro, age 82, of Castle Rock, CO, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. Born on May 24, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Daniel lived a full and colorful life defined by hard work, deep love for his family, and a true cowboy spirit.
On February 6, 1965, he married the love of his life, Christine Rangel, beginning a marriage that spanned over six decades and built a beautiful family and legacy together.
Daniel attended CVS High School and Wilson Junior College before becoming a mechanical engineer — a career that showcased both his intelligence and strong work ethic. But beyond his profession, Daniel proudly wore another title: cowboy. His riding days were some of his happiest, and that independent, adventurous spirit stayed with him throughout his life.
After retirement, you could often find Daniel enjoying trips to the casino in Blackhawk, trying his luck on the “one-armed bandit,” sharing laughs, and making memories. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family — whether at gatherings, telling stories, or simply being surrounded by those he loved.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen (Villa) Navarro; his father, Daniel Navarro; and his mother in law, Lita Rangel.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Navarro; his children, Daryl Navarro, Denise Hostetler (Andy), and Boomer Navarro (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Peyton Navarro (Kayla), Taylor Dammann (Noah) , Cole Navarro (Brittany), and Matthew Corey; his great-granddaughters, Adalynn Dammann and Raelynn Dammann; his sister, Claire Flores; and his brothers, Louis Navarro (Roberta), Tony Navarro, and David Navarro (Cheryl).
Daniel will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his love of adventure, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. His legacy lives on in the stories told, the lessons shared, and the family he cherished so deeply.
He will be missed more than words can say, but his spirit will ride on forever. 🤠🤍
