Daniel's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Corey Mott, who left us too soon on August 13, 2024. Born on September 28, 1973 in Clayton, California, Daniel lived a life enriched with love, laughter, friendships, and excellent cuisine.
Daniel was a man of many gifts, but it was his charming personality that stole the hearts of those around him. His sense of humor was infectious, whether he was sharing a witty remark or a funny anecdote, his laughter resonating in our minds. Daniel also had a passion for cooking and was an amazing professional chef for over 20 years following his graduation from the San Francisco Culinary Academy; his delightful culinary creations that brought family together at the table will be dearly missed.
Daniel was an avid outdoorsman and mountain-man, embarking on trips to Trinidad, Sawmill Mountain, and Silver Lake in Tahoe. He loved to camp and hike and was a talented skier and fisherman. He shared his love for the outdoors with his family and daughters, looking forward to yearly camping trips and vacations in nature.
Daniel was predeceased by his beloved father, Gary Mott, and his brother, Eric Mott. Their memories remain in our hearts, providing a source of comfort and strength during this difficult time.
He leaves behind his three daughters Victoria, Katherine, and Ezra Mott, who were his greatest pride and joys.
Daniel’s passing leaves an unfillable void in our lives, but we are comforted knowing that his legacy lives on through his daughters. He will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know him.
