Daniel's obituary
Daniel Edward Moleski, age 90, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Dan was born on April 27, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Julius and Catherine Moleski.
Dan proudly served his country as a United States Marine and was stationed in Japan during his service. He was a talented artist who loved to draw and paint and had a wonderful sense of humor. Dan never met a stranger and was known for his friendly nature and ability to make people laugh. Proud of his Polish heritage, he enjoyed telling Polish jokes.
“Do you know who won the Polish beauty contest?”
Dan loved to dance and often talked about how much he missed it. He was also a devoted football fan, especially cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears. He also loved using rubber bands on everything—if you know, you know.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Catherine Moleski; his siblings; and his beloved wife of 49 years, Norma Moleski.
He is survived by his children: Laurie Roden (Rob), Debra Moleski, Jim Moleski (Darlene), Bobbi Dickson (Dicky), Candy Casey (Roy), Vicki McCoy, and Joni Brubaker (Michael), along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
A Memorial Mass will be held in his honor on March 23rd, 2026 10:00am EST at Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 5170 Winchester Southern Road, Lithopolis, Ohio.
Dan will be remembered for his humor, kindness, artistic talent, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
