Daniel Joseph MacRae, 71, of Billerica, MA, passed away on April 8th, 2025 at Winchester Hospital.

At his request, there will be no funeral services, but a celebration of life will be planned by family at a later date.

Daniel was born in Nova Scotia, Canada to Angus & Mary MacRae on September 26th, 1953. He was a long time resident of Billerica where he grew up. He worked as a trucker for over 20 years and saw most of the lower 48 states. He enjoyed sports, history, music, and talking with his loved ones about just about anything.

Daniel  is survived by his children, Daniel of Nashua, NH and Lindsay of Chatanooga, TN; his grandchildren, Landon and Lily; as well as his siblings, Diane, Smitty, and Robert. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angus & Mary.

Daniel was kind, genuine, generous, funny, and easy to talk to. He was always happy to help people however he could. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren, who he loved deeply. Daniel's passing will leave an empty place in the hearts of those closest to him and he will be remembered fondly for the joy he brought into our lives.
