Daniel L. Lewis, age 78, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2020. He was born on May 13, 1941 in Marion, Illinois to Phillip Lewis and Anna Sheppard.

He graduated from University School in 1959 in Carbondale. Dan served in the Army as a Specialist 4 in New Orleans, LA. While there, he received special commendation for his performance during and after Hurricane Betsy in 1965. After his discharge, he worked for and was manager of Woolworth stores for many years. In 1972, Dan married his loving wife Pam Lewis (Rodehorst). They had three children, Rebecca, Stephanie and Daniel. Throughout his career, he and his family lived in several states including Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Dan loved playing and watching sports, especially baseball and softball. He cherished all time spent with family.

He is survived by wife, Pam, daughter Rebecca Beck (Kevin), daughter Stephanie Popham (Rodney) and son Daniel Lewis Jr (Elizabeth), four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers, Lynn Lewis, Donald Lewis, Shelby Lewis, Sidney Lewis and sister Jane Contri. He was preceded in death by parents Phillip Lewis and Anna Sheppard, brother Glenn Lewis, and sister Margaret Reel. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Peace Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, MN.
