Danny was in my life for so long I can't remember a time before him. I met him through a friend at the gym who was his roommate at the time. We were in his living room and he walked in from the kitchen with an apple and a knife in hand. That's how Danny ate an apple, sliced off one piece at a time and I'll never forget the way he looked at me, a huge smile on his face and this thing he did with his mouth when he looked at me. It was something he did for many many years to come when he looked at me with love he did that thing with his mouth, that is hard to explain. We knew from the moment that we met that we would be together and from that day on we spent every day together i think i moved in within the 1st few months. One of our first dates I was driving on Via De La Valle because Danny didn't have the driver's license at the time [LOL] and it was pouring rain out,  there was a giant puddle in front of the Fish Market and Danny encouraged me to drive really fast through it in my very short sports car. Well as you can guess the engine got wet and stopped in the middle of the puddle about halfway up the door, Danny got out in the pouring rain opened the hood took his white T-shirt off that was under his black leather jacket to dry the engine, got back in and we went on our merry way. Those were two of the first memories that I had from the very start of our courtship.  We were so young and had so much fun and freedom, we spent so much time with family and those are memories that I will always hold dear to my heart. Marriage for us came years later. I'll always have you in. My heart D.
I have the funniest memory of Danny.  We were on one of our first dates and went to Denny's which used to be Bob's Big Boy.  We were happily eating our dinner and I was eating my salad and out of the blue Danny says "Chicken Butt" to me.  I looked at him and started laughing so hard that I started choking.  After we both knew I would be ok we continued laughing about it throughout the evening. It remained a funny term he'd say to me from time to time.  Cracking me up ever time he said it. He always had a way of making me laugh.  Making me laugh continued throughout our marriage.  He was a kind soul with the most beautiful bright eyes I had ever seen, they changed their color from time to time, green to hazel even sometimes blue. It's also pretty funny how he had asked me to marry him.  He picked me up from work (I was in my Vons uniform) and brought me to his place and acted very nervous.  He then said he wanted to take me somewhere.  As we drove (me still in my Vons uniform) he drove to one place then to another. We ended up at Swamis.  He parked and we walked to the cliff and sat on the benches it must have been 9 at night.  He got on his knees ( no ring, weird for a jeweler ;)) and asked me to marry him.  I said yes and he pulled out two bottles one bottle of champagne for me and one non-alcoholic drink for himself.  We celebrated there under the stars with the beautiful sound of the ocean, we even had some folks who witnessed the whole thing :) .  We were very much in love in those days. I have no regrets for my life spent with him.  Pinky Swear.. Dano   with love Tanja or Tani as you'd call me

You are the most special dad. Thank you for making us feel loved constantly. I love you.
Danny was so talented. He created such beautiful designs in his jewelry. His heart was drenched in kindness and I know his mother is so happy to have him with her again in heaven.
