Background
Dan rescued his beloved CJ, a Pitbull/Great Dane mix, from a local animal rescue that is now closed. However, his favorite grandpup, Tyler, was rescued from SecondHand Hounds. He had a soft spot for all animals, from helping baby birds hatch in his backyard to stopping his drive to make sure a turtle would make it across the road. He often said when he retired he wanted to rescue several animals, especially the senior and special needs ones. If you've had the pleasure of meeting CJ she is nothing but 80 some pounds of sweetness and loves nothing more than to be petted all the time... seriously... 24/7.
CJ (and his new puppy) have both been permanently adopted by Carrie Shea, although they have not been married since a long time ago the two have remained friends. She often dog sat CJ when Dan would go out of town for work. Luckily this made the transition a little easier for CJ and she is settling into her new routine. Contribute to Secondhand Hounds
