On April 25, 2023, Daniel (Dan) F. Jansen, loving friend, brother, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Lake Suzy, Florida.

Dan was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Frank and Irene (Stefanski) Jodlowski. He received his engineering degree from Purdue University and spent his career in the automotive industry in Michigan.

Dan had a passion for the outdoors and spent much time throughout his life camping, fishing, and hunting. In retirement, he enjoyed the Florida sunshine while golfing or boating. He also loved to cook, and was well known for his guacamole and deviled eggs.

He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey (Randy) Pinkston of Issaquah, Washington, his two grandchildren, Asher and Lily, his brother James (Sandy) Jansen, partner Sue Crisp, and a large extended family that he loved dearly. If you are so moved, the family recommends donations to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens, a place special to Dan throughout his life.
