Daniel Eugene Head, affectionately known as Danny, age 65, was born on Monday, October 5, 1959, in Alexander County. He lived a life filled with love for his family and cherished moments spent with them. Danny passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, surrounded by those he loved.

Danny was a member of Society Baptist Church, where he found joy singing in the choir. He held a special place for his family at the heart of his life, and memories made with them were treasures he valued immensely.

His interests included a deep-seated passion for motorcycles, a hobby that allowed him to embrace a sense of freedom and adventure. Danny was a truck driver for over 40 years and his handle was “Noggin.”

He is survived by his son, Matthew Head (Aimee), along with his grandchildren, Taylor Pate (Matt), Richard and Victoria Osborne, Hailey Head. Danny also leaves behind his father, Kenneth Eugene Head, mother, Jerrie Sears Head, and his siblings, Dale Head (Beth), Becky Rogers (Greg), Kathy Head Steele, David Head, Elizabeth Rogers, and Daryl Head (Judy), and a host of nieces and nephews, also survived by his beloved dog Molly.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be with the family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
